Independent opticians, part of the Eye Love My Local Independent Optician campaign, encouraged thousands of new and existing patients to ‘love their eyes’ during National Eye Health Week in June and book an all important eye exam.
As an additional incentive for booking an eye exam during the national awareness week, over and above maintaining eye health, patients were given the opportunity to enter a free prize draw to win an iPad.
The lucky winner of the iPad was a 15 year old school girl from Hartlepool, who entered the draw via her opticians at Pagan & McQuade, who she has been visiting since the age of four.
"The atmosphere, range of designer frames and the high levels of service at Wendy Diddams changed the way I viewed going to the opticians. By using an independent I have found that I don’t have to hang around waiting for ages and I also have never had an appointment cancelled since being with Wendy."
Naomi Wellman, from Knutsford, patient at Wendy Diddams Optometrist
